I have joined with other members of the Women's Caucus for Art Eco-Art Caucus in this virtual exhibition. This is such a great way to share our work. Thanks and appreciation to Lisa Stavinoha, chair of the caucus, for organizing this and sharing it online. The works of many caucus friends are included in this exhibition which closes on August 1, 2024.

Sorry for posting so late: been busy with preparations for an exhibition in Seattle opening September 1, 2024 (reception on the 5th, first Thursday). Sponsored by CoCA, Center on Contemporary Art, it will be in the Collins Pub, a Pioneer Square institution near CoCA, at 2nd and James. The show is a reworking of an old installation I made at 911 media arts, an exhibition center for film and performance in the old Cascadia neighborhood of Seattle, now rebranded as "South Lake Union" and dominated by Amazon as Vulcan real estate investments has sold off most of its holdings. 911, too is gone, or absorbed into Jack Straw Cultural Center in the University District of Seattle.

This exhibition was about how land use in the Euro-American tradition informs landscape painting. More detailed statements and images will follow.

"I think one of the main flaws in the enormous literature in economics and political science and history about imperialism is that very little attention has been paid to the role of culture in keeping an empire maintained. . . ."
